Date Night

Our first date while in Grenada! *awwwww*

Ross came home from campus and we were going to catch a couple buses to get to Rick's  Cafe (spelling contested since the sign says "Rick's" and everything inside says "Rix") in the Grand Anse/ Mont Toute area.

As we were waiting for the bus our good friends Ryan and his wife Katie and their little girl Arya drove by and offered us a ride! That saved us a bunch of time but we were sad they couldn't join us for dinner. Another time I suppose!

Here is Ross at Rick's/Rix Cafe, waiting for our food.

"Rick's Cafe -Dine in Dance out" super exciting right?
We were really hungry, so you don't get a "before" picture. We got fish and chips and a thai chicken salad all for like $27 EC which is about $10 U.S. dollars. Not bad! All you get is this "after" picture. Haha -Ross enjoying the food.

Then we had some ice cream and the lady got all cranky with me when I tried to sneak another sample. Sor-ry! I reaaaalllly like ice cream!
The ice cream is incredible. The company that makes it, Sugar and Spice, is actually just right down the street from our apartment, but that is another blog post! I got strawberry cheescake and ross got peach melba.

I took him into the grocery store Food Fair, which is in the same shopping plaza, so he could see how fun it is to get to go grocery shopping (<-- sarcasm). Then we waited for the bus back which was actually a little van. It was kinda fun though because it goes on an extra long route after dark to drop students off right at their door. So we got to see more of Grenada as we traveled up some REALLY steep and dark roads to some student's houses. It was an adventure.
When we finally got back to campus we missed the bus back to LAE by about, the two minutes it left early! But it turned out fine because we saw our friend Dallas and got to hang out with him.
It was a really fun night and it is great to be able to every once in a while, see my husband and hang out with him! Also, it is fun to see how many familiar faces you can run into in the short space of an evening, I love all of our friends!
