Tuckahoe Fireworks Show

I mentioned before that my sister lives in a cute "village." It is only 0.6 square miles and has a population around 5,000 people. Small village, big heart.

After our busy day in the City, we still wanted to make time to catch the "Tuckahoe Summertime Fireworks Event." And for such a tiny place, it sure was packed. We found a seat on the grass while everyone was enjoying street games and food from vendors.

There was live music by the "world famous" The Ultimate Boyband Tribute band. People were going wild for their renditions of Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC songs. Also, these really cute ancient lady duet, "Twin Gold" really rocked the oldies. But if you thought that was epic, wait til the fireworks.

It was epic. The best fireworks show I have ever seen. We just sat there with our jaws dropped wondering if that had really, actually, for serious just happened. As one man aptly observed, "at one point I couldn't even see the fireworks! There was so much smoke!"

The show was firework after firework upon firework and firework! It was so neat, and likely funded by the Italian mob that runs the village. But i'm not complaining. It was so much fun. I am so glad that we drug our half-dead bodies to watch them. A perfect ending to an amazing day!
